We are so glad you took the time to visit us. Blakemore Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant church in the Wesleyan tradition. We are located at the corner of Natchez Trace and Belcourt Avenue in Nashville’s historic West End/Hillsboro neighborhood.

On a Sunday morning at Blakemore you will hear a lot of Scripture. We try to include readings from the major portions of the Bible in every service (the Old Testament, the Psalter, the Gospels and the New Testament Epistles.) You will experience a blend of the historic rhythms of the church (hymns, creedal affirmations, the passing of the peace, the Lord’s Supper) with contemporary songs and other meaningful forms of prayer and praise. We hope you will find our worship to be uncomplicated, authentic and intentional – a space where you can encounter the presence of God as well as experience the hospitality of the Christian community. Ultimately, we hope Blakemore Church is a place where you can establish a deep relationship with God and with other people and where you are challenged, in turn, to be an ambassador of God’s love and grace to the broken and hurting world in which you live (2 Corinthians 5).

Our services are at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays (and we invite you to come and worship in as casual or as formal a style of dress as you would like. You will find lots of variety here. )
